It’s not about me. It’s about you.
That said, perhaps you’d like to know a little bit about who you’ll be dealing with should you hire me to provide the voice for your next project(s).
I’m a 25 year survivor of radio. Somehow I lived through the parties, concerts, backstage gatherings and craziness that formed my personality and character. I’m much better now, thank you.
Today, I’m married, own a house, car, cat, numerous microphones, my own recording studio, a few computers and about 10 bazillion apps. I admit that I’m a practicing Appaholic and desperately need help. Or at least an iPhone with more memory.
I was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Levittown, (yes – both in NY) went to college in Iowa (Storm Lake) and rode shotgun on my brothers wagon train to Colorado. After landing in Grand Junction and settling in Fruita, I soon discovered there was absolutely no need whatsoever for a singer/guitarist. So I did what any man in my position would do. I moved to Aspen.
There I spent 16 years skiing, singing, playing guitar and enjoying life at 7,900 ft above the Atlantic Ocean that used to be my backyard.
I loved Aspen. I still do. Problem? It only has 3 seasons. July. August. And winter. That’s why I live in Boulder. Actually, I moved to Boulder because of illness. Aspen was sick of me.
Here in the “People’s Republic”, as some refer to it, we have all 4 seasons. And any and all 4 can be in play on any given day, week or month. Snow in September? Seen it. 75* in December? Loved it. 105* in June? Sweated through it. What a state this Colorado. Where else can you ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon?
In 1993 I started my own Voice Over business. It’s what I still do. Why? As an ex-radio DJ, I am basically trained to be unemployable. So I work for myself. I’m also a podcaster, blogger and soon to be author.
I am beside myself with glee that you stopped by and read this. Now you know me.
